The measurements on the GIA certificate said 5.15 x 5.10 mm:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Measurements\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jogiadiamonds.com.au\/images\/mm_gauge1.jpg\" alt=\"Measurements\" width=\"409\" height=\"20\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">However, using our proportion analyser, the OGI Firetrace, quite different measurements were produced:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Measurements with OGI Firetrace\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jogiadiamonds.com.au\/images\/mm_gauge2.jpg\" alt=\"Measurements with OGI Firetrace\" width=\"266\" height=\"20\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">So, just to check, we used a micrometer:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Micrometer Measurements\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jogiadiamonds.com.au\/images\/mm_gauge3.jpg\" alt=\"Micrometer Measurements\" width=\"280\" height=\"345\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Micrometer Measurements\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jogiadiamonds.com.au\/images\/mm_gauge4.jpg\" alt=\"Micrometer Measurements\" width=\"297\" height=\"346\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">As you can see, neither of our measurements matched the GIA certificate, and despite freshly calibrating our OGI Firetrace, it still produced those measurements.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">As you can see, despite advancements in technology, machines that cost thousands of dollars are still not 100% accurate. In fact, The Brilliancescope manufacturers admit a 5% margin of error.
