Pretty good deal huh? Well, not until you actually see it! You see this stone, even though this may even be given a &#8220;Good&#8221; cut grade by DCLA, it has been described as &#8220;hazy&#8221; and generally looking like frozen spit. And you can forget about GIA certification this diamond doesn&#8217;t even have a certificate!<\/p>\n<p>Given that there are at least 20 main factors that determine the price of a diamond, there are some fairly easy ways consumers can make sure that they are in fact getting a good deal, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Looking at prices on the internet. This will give you a rough guide as to the prices and price differences of diamonds. Be aware that buying at a retail store, or at any physical shop will be a bit more expensive than the internet.<\/li>\n<li>If you see what you think is a good deal, examine it further, with a loupe, Ideal-Scope, or even an independent appraiser (one that doesn&#8217;t sell diamonds).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is important to remember that buying online will <strong>always<\/strong> be cheaper, stone for stone, than a full retail store.
